MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER READING
Summer reading is intended to encourage reading for pleasure; we want students to read books based on their interests and provide an opportunity to share these books with their classmates in the fall. Students entering grades 5-8 can read a book of their choosing and complete a “Book Share Form” which they will share with their homeroom classmates during the first week of school.
Each student that completes a book share form will be entered into a raffle and one student per grade level will be awarded a $25.00 Amazon gift card that they can then use to purchase additional reading materials.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOOK SHARE FORM (FOR ALL GRADES) This is a link to a paper form for new students or students who are having trouble accessing the form in Canvas. All students should have been assigned to a Canvas grouping by the end of the school year, in June.

SORA is a reading and listening app from OverDrive, provided by the Abington Public Schools for our middle and high school students.. With SORA, students and staff can access a diverse collection of over thirty-nine thousand ebooks and audiobooks with titles for all grade and reading levels. Students can read or listen to these books using a computer, phone or tablet (including a Kindle or iPad.) First time using SORA? Go here for more info.
